Your personal information is important to us

Your privacy on the internet is important to us. Because the internet offers the ability to collect certain types of information about users, we want you to understand what information we gather and how we use it.

How we collect information about you

There are four main ways we collect information about you:

  • When you register

When you register on the site, you will be asked to provide certain personal and demographic data. This is to help us understand the types of students who are participating in Workchoice Day as well as student trends and interests.

  • When you visit the website

Whenever you visit the website, our servers automatically record information about your use of the website – such as the time of the visit, its duration and the pages you visit. This helps us to understand what parts of the website our users enjoy and ensure that they content on the website is relevant. The information we collect about you in this way remain anonymous.

  • If you enter into a competition

When you enter into one of daily prize draws in the 10 Days of Workchoice campaign or any other competition run through the website, we will keep track of all competition entries. Again, this will help us understand what content our users enjoy.

  • Promotional messages we send to you

If you opt-in to receiving emails from the Workchoice Trust when you register, we will send you electronic messages in the lead up to Workchoice Day. Thereafter, from time to time thereafter, we will send information about the Workchoice Trust, about careers and about the career opportunities offered by our leading, supporting & provider partners. We might also email to tell you about competitions.

You can manage the type of information you receive from us by:

  • Unsubscribing from the message you receive; or
  • Emailing the website editor. Please allow 10 working days for us to process your request.

If you sign up for the search4jobs Job Seeker newsletter, you will also receive a monthly email from search4jobs relating to the job market. We will provide search4jobs with only the relevant personal information you provided on registration so you can receive this service. Once this information is provided to search4jobs, it comes under their privacy policy. You will be able to unsubscribe from this service by following the instructions at the bottom of any email they send.
