While visiting NZ Fashion Tech you will see our tutors, management and the administrators who are all guiding our students towards their successful qualifications and career goals.

What kind of qualifications are needed to do them?
Some students come to us with previously gained qualifications and skills from Technology, Design and Technology, Mathematics, Languages and/or Art and as mentioned above the wide variety of career pathways available in the industry means all of these skills are valuable and can be a base to build a career on.

Graduates of past NZ Fashion Tech programmes are employed in almost every position in our industry from production, cutting, pattern make, design, quality control, buying, marketing and retail.
Many have been already promoted to exciting new career and management positions.

What can school students do to prepare for a career in your firm aside from further education?

There are so many varied career options in the Fashion and Sewn Products industries that as long as an intending student has a genuine interest in fashion they are welcome to apply for a place on one of our programmes.
